ThemanyunintentionallyfunnyscenesincludeSteve’sgirlfriend(Henderson)beingkissedandgropedbyDesmond(whileSteveblanklywatchesfromadistance),thefirsthypnosisscene(“Youarethemeanestofallthedogs!!”),thebeatnikbarscene,andthefinalsceneatatheater,wherethe“secret”isrevealed,butonlyaftertheaudienceismesmerizedintodoingprettyoutrageousthings—likebadacting. Releasedduringthehypnosisandbeatnikcrazesoftheearly1960s,thisbizarremovieisaninterestingtimecapsuleandstarscultactressAllisonHayes.BesureandcatchHecht’s(GuyPrescott)jaw-droppingclosingline…it’sguaranteedtoleaveyouspeechless.
